Erected in 1955 our church is as architecturally diverse as the people who grace its pews. Seating two hundred-fifty, our main sanctuary is adorned with no less than seventeen pristine stained glass windows, bringing to life various scenes from Holy Scripture, in the grandest of which our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus stands triumphantly above our MCC illumination sculpture stewarding watch over the congregation.
In lieu of a standard pulpit, our sanctuary features a full stage which routinely plays host to five or more musicians whom enliven our services with a litany of instruments, from organs and pianos, to bass guitars, a full percussion trap kit and a cappella-filled microphones. The lyrics to our songs of praise and scripture readings are projected onto two large video screens hung above the stage so that our congregation can easily join in our worshipful music.
Our worship altar rests before the stage, from which our Senior Pastor and guest ministers speak at ground level, amidst the congregants paying homage to our oneness in, and humility before, Christ.
Aside from our main sanctuary, Spirit of Hope MCC features a chapel which can seat up to thirty people at a time. Perfect for smaller weddings and commitment ceremonies, our lay pastors offer private communion in our chapel where those seeking individual prayer, anointing with oil or the laying on of hands may experience these sacraments each and every Sunday.
In addition to our administrative cluster, which includes our Senior Pastor’s study, our Church Administrator, Administrative Assistant and Finance Minister’s offices, our campus also houses a Social Hall that can seat up to two hundred people for banquets, receptions, talent shows, fundraisers and the like.
Last but not least, on our main level visitors and members alike may stop into our “Planet Hope Café and Gift Shop” for a refreshment before and/or after service, or a last-minute gift.
